If I run a campaign all U.S. though create an ad the includes a location in the headline and description, i.e. Los Angeles, CA, will Google know to automatically show that ad to users searching in/for Los Angeles? Or is there a possibility it could be shown to someone in NYC who has no interest in Los Angeles?

2022.01.24 22:06 Vegarcade Jealous of Brotherhood
As a woman who has become completely enamoured by the Yakuza series. I find myself being jealous of the strong bonds formed between the male characters. A lot of the characters I see as really good role models for men, and I like how toxic masculinity is often challenged throughout the games. I’ve become very attached to the characters and the brotherly bonds they share and how they constantly uplift and support each other.
That being said, would have loved to of seen more badass female characters. I really liked Kaoru Sayama (Y2), spoiler I also really liked Miss Tatsu (Y0) and wished she had a bigger role. Not to say characters like Haruka and Kiyomi (Y6) aren’t strong and cool in their own regard. But seeing how strong Kiryu is and his ability to overcome anything with his friends is very empowering. I wish there could be more women fighting the good fight along with them, or even another RGG game with a badass female protagonist.
Back to the concept of brotherhood, I’m jealous that its something I’ll never experience as a woman. I have my own brother but we share the typical brothesister dynamic of just annoying each other, etc. I don’t have any sisters but I have other women who are close enough friends to be considered having a sisterhood with them but that’s not the same. Can’t help but feel like sisterhood is intertwined with hyper femininity which I don’t think is inherently bad at all but I guess not what I’m always looking for. I love my friends and what we have, but I see the friendships even my guy friends have with each other and their brothers and I know its different.
That’s the end of my ramblings, thanks for reading if you made it this far! Would be curious to know if there’s other women that feel this way, also wouldn’t mind hearing from the male perspective too. This is my first post in this subreddit, please be kind. :)

Is there a way to bring in a browser or desktop panel while I’m working in Gravity Sketch? Would love to be able to not have to take off my headset if wanna watch a video tutorial on YouTube or Skill Share or even when I wanna do something as inocuos as switch songs in my playlist. I know that you can import videos…. But that’s a bit too clunky for me to have to download all these videos ahead of time.

For example when I think of a swiss woman, I immediately think of Barbara Bleisch. In my head she looks purely swiss. She doesn't look like a german, austrian, french or italian women. No, she looks completely swiss for me.

2022.01.24 22:06 TheMidnightProfessor I own and operate the largest baby farm in the continental US. The last crop was rotten. (Pt 2)
A splash of cold water brought me back to consciousness. A strikingly thin man with a cigarette pressed between his lips snapped his fingers in front of my eyes.
“Welcome back, boss. It’s been a while.”
Bill Hannigan was the head of internal security. He lived in a camouflaged outpost tower on the northeast side of the compound. His orders were strict. He was not to leave his post under any circumstances, unless the perimeter was breached. It had been twenty years since I’d last seen Bill, and we hadn’t exchanged a word during that time. Bill was dedicated and singularly focused on his role; there was no need to check in.
“Clearly not long enough,” I stood up and stretched, a fresh bandage wrapped around my arm, “Tell me, Bill. Can you explain to me how such a fuck up could end up in charge of protecting my livelihood?”
“Not sure. Why don’t you ask the guy who hired me?” Bill smirked, proud with his retort.
“I’ll be sure to do that. In the meantime, I’d like a status report.”
“Cameras are down, been like that for an hour. The biometrics scanners haven’t picked up any unknown biological signals, so as far as I know, no one has entered the compound. No alarms or sensors have been tripped either. If someone is fucking with us, they’re a ghost.”
“How did you find me then?”
“I heard the gunshots. Took me a bit longer than to get here due to those things — I think I may have taken a few out of commission. Once I got to the nursery, I found you knocked out cold. Some bricks came down from the ceiling with the security gate, unluckily for you. When’s the last time you’ve had this place inspected? It’s falling apart, boss.”
“Duly noted,” I remarked sarcastically, “The past is the past; let’s focus on the present. Here’s what we’re going to do. We need to get to the armory, grab as many weapons as we can, and then get the fuck out of here. The soil’s gone bad, Bill. Time to move on.”
“Duly noted.” Using his grimy boots, he extinguished his cigarette.
Bill had dragged me into the medical office on the 2nd floor of the nursery. We’d have to return to the main hall and follow a winding hallway to the back office — which led to the armory.
I threw the shotgun over my shoulder, and together we marched towards our destination. Our feet clicked against the cobblestone, echoing ominously. The nursery was oppressively silent.
Bill placed his hand against my chest. The security door to the nursery had been raised. Scrawled in chalk on the stone wall, a threatening message. “Death comes for us all.”
A child’s babbling laughter cut through the silence. Bill and I clutched our weapons tightly and stood back to back, eliminating our blind spots.
“What was that?!?!”
I felt something slam against Bill. He began to stagger, struggling to walk. A throbbing stinger protruded from his neck. His eyes bulged and filled with blood. Gasping for air, he dropped to his knees. An agonized wheeze escaping his lungs, Bill keeled over and expired. It took only 10 seconds from beginning to end for him to die.
I swung around wildly, searching for whatever had produced the stinger. A hint of red caught my eye. Cloaked in shadows and pressed against a dimly lit corner of the roof was an infant with a bulbous and furry abdomen, iridescent wings, and a series of stingers hanging from its backside.
It lurched like it was going to sneeze, and instinctively I ducked. A horrible death whizzed above my head, missing me by inches. I bolted for the staircase, avoiding impalement three more times. The infant detached from the ceiling, stingers depleted and buzzing angrily in the air. Opening its mouth, it revealed a pair of razor-sharp pincers which retracted back and forth from its gullet.
I cocked my gun and pulled the trigger, but it misfired. I struggled to clear the chamber as the monstrous infant charged. Almost simultaneously, I was tackled to the ground and the shell casing released.
Acidic saliva burned my cheek as I fought to hold the child at bay. Its rancid breath drew closer; I was getting weaker. Although small, it had the strength of a full-grown man, and I was no spring chicken. I’d also been disarmed, both my weapons laying several feet away. My grip loosened. I knew I had to think quickly if I had any chance of surviving.
As I let my hands slide away, the infant bore down with all its strength in an attempt to decapitate me. I’d read its intent, and at the very last second, I slid slightly to the left. Instead of chomping down on flesh, the failed crop collided full force with the cobblestone. It howled with rage, dazed and unable to fly away. Rolling over as fast as I could, I was able to secure my shotgun and empty the barrel. What was left twitched pitifully on the floor. A thundering roar rumbled somewhere from outside.
Covered in blood, I descended the stairs into the main hall of the nursery. Knocking over cribs, empty bottles, and changing stations, I tore through the hall towards the armory. Behind me, closing in at a high rate of speed, a pitter platter of tiny footsteps. I fired wildly without looking back, the bullets ricocheting with reckless abandon. Several high-pitched squeals led me to believe I’d hit at least one of my targets.
Skidding around a blind corner, I threw my weapons to the ground to shed the excess weight and broke out into a dead sprint. Every ounce of energy was being directed to my legs. I was no sprinter, not even much of a walker, but I’m sure I would have beaten Usain Bolt in that moment. The hallway twisted in a strange series of half-spirals, making it seem like it extended forever. It sure as hell felt like it.
A low-pitched hum filled the hall, rising into a demonic shriek. My eardrums cried out in pain, but I ignored them. I was so close. I wouldn’t be stopped — I couldn’t. Death and madness had made me feel more alive than I’d ever been. Fear and serenity battled for supremacy in my mind, and neither came out the victor.
The room to the back office was cracked open slightly, as was expected. Heart pounding, I slid past the doorframe and threw the door closed. A series of complex mechanical locks descend into place, securing the room. Inputting a 13-digit code, I unlatched the steel door to the armory.
For the second time that night, I felt relief, and for the second time that night, it lasted only seconds.
The armory was bare. Nothing was left. The flame-throwers, RPGs, and automatic weapons had been cleared out. Hundreds of times, a single phrase was written in chalk over every available surface, “In the shadows, destiny awaits.”
“The prodigal son returns, only to find his kingdom in ashes,” an all too familiar voice echoed from the shadows, “It’s nice to see you — again. Now, where do I begin?”

2022.01.24 22:06 CasinoOasis2 Experiences of employer writing to GP for medical info?
Was off work ill for 3 weeks due to flare up of Crohns disease, it was fine for a few years before and I don't consider it to be something that ever interferes with my job except on this rare occasion.
On return to work my employer is asking for consent to write to my GP to gain medical info so they can consider any "reasonable adjustments" that can be made, but IMO there aren't any that can be made. I'm back working now and I see it as a bit unnecessary since it wasn't "long-term" absence (4+ weeks). I also didn't require a sick note as this isn't needed for 28 days currently so my GP isn't aware of my recent illness. I just think in this case my GP at best isn't going to be able to provide any particularly relevant info and at worst might end up being misleading about my condition.
Employer mentioned they weren't previously aware since I started 2 years ago of my illness, they have noted it on my file now, so maybe they just want "proof" I have Crohns disease (but they are aware I don't have to provide any), I have a letter from my last consultation in November which states my Crohns was in remission at the time, I'm wondering if I should send them a copy of this instead or just refuse consent.
